Located close to Inks Dam on the most serene segment of open water on Lake LBJ– and directly near an excellent, granite rock swimming hole – the Hoover Valley Lake Home offers a Texas Highland Lakes experience only a privileged few get to enjoy. Although it is possible to make your way up past the granite rocks to this part of the lake on a boat, most aren’t familiar with the safe route to this part of the lake (we will gladly show our renters how to make it up past the rocks safely) – the rocks keep this part of the lake quiet and serene year-round, making it the best place on the lake for waterskiing, fishing, and swimming.

 

The two-bedroom, one kid’s room, one shower-bath lake home features tiled flooring in the kitchen and living areas. The home’s expansive entertainment room, located to the right of the front door, is equipped with pool table, wood panel flooring, comfy couch that seats six, 36-inch flat screen TV, ceiling fan, washer/dryer (located inside a closet), and water cooler air-con. The entertainment room’s French doors take you out to the front yard.

 

To the left of the front door is a hall leading to the bedrooms and bathroom. The first bedroom features a Queen-size bed, ceiling fan, and closet. The kid’s room includes one bunk bed and a closet. The last bedroom features a King-size bed, ceiling fan, and closet.

 

The living area features large windows and a sliding glass door that look out past the home’s long, grassy lawn, which slopes down to the lake. The living area has a couch that seats four, two cushioned chairs, and a ceiling fan. Between the living area and the kitchen is the dining room table, which also features a wonderful view of the lake, and seats six.

 

The kitchen features a bar with four swivel chairs, dual stove-oven range, dishwasher, stainless steel refrigerator, microwave, and granite countertops throughout. You can also catch great views of the lake from the kitchen area.

 

A door in the kitchen, and a sliding glass door in the living area, leads to the large stone -floored patio. The wide patio is fully equipped with fire pit, outdoor fireplace, propane BBQ, refrigerator, and patio table that seats six. Surrounding the fire pit are four patio chairs, and two couches that seat four.

 

A pathway leads down the sprawling grass lawn to a flight of stairs, which lead to a new cement deck and retaining wall along the lake. Going down the lawn’s pathway, you’ll find a small patio with table and four chairs overlooking the lake, plus an additional fire pit just above the lake.

 

Along the lake are a boat dock/lift and large oak tree with rope swing. From here you can swim out to an excellent, granite rock swimming hole.

 

For those looking for seclusion and an excellent swimming hole for the family – not to mention the best waterskiing and fishing on the lake - the Hoover Valley Lake House is hard to beat.
