Ready for some Down time? The Misty Downs lake house is a quiet retreat on a secluded wake cove in Granite Shoals, TX on Lake LBJ. With lots of Texas Hill Country charm, this Highland Lakes home has it all -- beautiful views of the Texas Hill Countryside, water views from the grassy lawn and screened-in porch and a swimming deck to tie your boat up to (this open wake cove is a great, safe spot to tie-up).

This one-of-a-kind lake home has been a family treasure for over 20 years, with almost NO wear and tear. In fantastic condition with new flooring throughout, the Misty Downs has three bedrooms (Sleeping For 8 in All) and two full baths. Its friendly floorplan has the large living area as its focal point, with the screened-in porch, kitchen and hallway, with bedrooms & baths, all leading out from it. Lazy afternoons, naps in the hammock, a game of croquet or badmitton (gaming provided) all await you at this comfortable lake home.  

 

Living/Dining/Kitchen:

 

The living area has all the comforts of home, with sofa, coffee table, satellite television with DVD player. A dining area connects the living area with the kitchen, providing ample seating for meals and games.  The kitchen is very efficient and clean and provides all modern amenities, such as microwave, coffee maker, toaster, refrigerator, stove, etc. Dishes, glasses, silverware, salt/pepper, dish liquid, dish detergent, paper towels, trash bags, pots/pans all are provided as well.

 

The Bedrooms:

 

With total sleeping for 8 guests, this home has a nice mixture of sleeping for all types: King bed in Master w/ twin (for an extra adult or child); Three Twins in middle bedroom (great for kids or single adults); Queen Bed for additional couple.

 

The Master Bedroom is very spacious is crisp white with a king-size bed and twin. This room sleeps 3 guests in all. A view of the waterfront, lovely antique furniture in excellent condition and an attached full bathroom are included.

 

The second bedroom provides a queen bed for an extra couple, a queen futon sleeper sofa and antique furniture. 

 

The third bedroom (or middle bedroom) provides two twin beds...perfect for the kids, or single adults! Very comfortable with linens (sheets, blankets, pillows and pillowcases, etc) provided in all three bedrooms.

 

 

 

The Outside:

 

The best of both - the screened-in porch - an outdoor feel without the "outdoor elements"! Fans are provided, but this room is not air conditioned, unlike the home, which has central air. A great room for board games or just catching the lakefront views.

 

The grassy lawn is very spacious with lots and lots of room for games. Croquet equipment, badmitton and hammock are all provided to add to your outdoor fun! A barbeque grill is on-site for easy meals, and the swimming deck is a great place to sunbathe and tie up your boat. Lots of shade is also provided by large oak and pecan trees. 

 

This friendly home is on a safe, smaller street. The road is on a "peninsula" of sorts - on one side are the homes with waterfront and on the other side is a smaller "canal" with large granite rock outcroppings. Misty Downs is truly a very neat, unique spot that you and your children will love exploring....and at a very competitive price! 

 

 The Misty Downs Lake House is located in Granite Shoals, TX right off of Highway 1431.  It is only 60 minutes northwest of Austin, 90 minutes north of San Antonio, 3 hours south of Dallas/Ft. Worth and 3 ½ hours west of Houston. It is minutes from Marble Falls (just right down Hwy 1431) for grocery shopping, restaurants and boutique/antique shopping.  You are also close to several local activities and attractions - golf courses (Packsaddle Public Golf Course or The Legends Golf Course in Kingsland or Inks Lake State Park Golf Course), water parks (Granite Beach in Horseshoe Bay), hiking and camping (Inks Lake State Park), wineries (4 local) and sightseeing/tourist attractions (Longhorn Caverns and the Berry Farm).

Holidays & Holiday Weekends (Thanksgiving, Christmas, New Years, Easter, Memorial Day, 4th of July and Labor Day) $50 more a night, maximum of 3 nights for holiday charge.

Remaining balance is due 10 days before check-in. Rates are subject to change unless you are confirmed. Pet Policy:

Misty Downs does accept pets (2 dogs maximum). The pets must be housebroken and kenneled if left unattended in the home. Pets are not allowed on the furniture. Failure to comply with these rules, or any “spots” or messes will be considered as damage and will be deducted from damage deposit. Pet Fee: $10 per day/ per dog(2 dogs maximum)
