Description: 

Whether pronounced pecan, pahcan or peecan, this home is surrounded by a beautiful pecan orchard and thus gets its name, Pecan House. If visitors are lucky enough to visit during the pecan season, bring a sack and help yourself. 

Rumor has it this house was originally located on the Inks State Fish Hatchery grounds and was moved to its present location.  Owned by one family for many, many years, grandchildren still return and recount wonderful memories.  The home was purchased four years ago and completely updated and refurnished creating a cozy vacation home for others to enjoy.

Decorated in a Texas Star theme, this picturesque lake home is very spacious with a sixty foot covered deck overlooking the water and a new swimming deck and covered boat dock with electric lift.  The huge back yard offers plenty of room for volleyball, baseball, horseshoes and backyard tents for young campers.

Large groups can gather on the back porch for songs, a fish fry, and a visit with family members and friends.  An outdoor grill makes cooking easy and no messy clean up.  Plenty of beds for large groups add privacy and comfort.

Located on the very desirable Colorado Arm of Lake LBJ, swimmers can appreciate the safety of the area.  Boats and jet skis seldom venture up the lake this far and yet Pecan House renters can ski, swim, jet ski, canoe and boat from this location.  Fishing, sun bathing on a float, bird watching or enjoying a local armadillo cross the yard can fill those lazy, hazy days of summer.  To fill the occasional rainy or cool day try antiquing in the surrounding towns, a local movie, Longhorn Caverns, visiting the local wineries, bowling or reading a good book.   Our vacation homes are near many excellent golf courses and a miniature golf course within walking distance.

The Pecan House is located in Hoovers Valley, off of Park Road 4. Inks Lake State Park is only a few minutes drive from Cool Waters, where you can hike, relax at the beach, rent a canoe or visit the famous Devil’s Water Hole. Hoovers Valley is approximately 10 minutes from Burnet and Kingsland and 20 minutes from Marble Falls. It is about 60 minutes northwest of Austin and 80 minutes north of San Antonio.

Several of our other lake homes are on the same street, which is ideal for large family reunions, weddings, etc (Oak House, Cool Waters, Rebecca’s River Roost and Breeze Terrace are all within very close proximity to the Pecan House).

Master bedroom has a king size four post bed, dresser, dressing table and glass doors that open out to the patio overlooking the water; Second bedroom has a double bed; Third bedroom has a queen size bed and glass doors that open out to the patio overlooking the water; Fourth bedroom has two bunk beds with four twins.

Living Area:
Sectional sofa with media center and satellite television and DVD, dining/game table and recliner.
Kitchen: Stove top oven, microwave, refrigerator, dining area with seating for four or five and kitchen bar with stools.

Backyard:
Sixty foot covered deck overlooking the water, large grassy lawn with pecan trees, covered boat dock with electric lift and swimming deck and charcoal grill.

Rental Price: $295 - $405
Rate Information:

Base Rates include 6 Guests. There is a $10 charge per night per person. Maximum of 12 Guests
Stay 7 nights or more and get a weeknight fee.

Winter Rates:

(Sept. 16 - February 28):
Weeknights (Sun - Thurs) $295
Weekend (Fri - Sat) $325

Spring/Summer Rates:

(March 1 - Sept 15):
Weeknights (Sun - Thurs) $375
Weekend (Fri - Sat) $405

3 night minimum required during Holidays

Fees:

$500 refundable damage deposit, $800 with pet
6% State and 5% County Taxes will be added
$10 per person, per night for over 6 guests. (12 max)
One-time cleaning fee of $125, $150 with pet.
Pet Fee: $10 per day/ per dog(2 dogs maximum)
Holidays & Holiday Weekends (Thanksgiving, Christmas, New Years, Memorial Day, 4th of July and Labor Day) $50 more a night, maximum of 3 nights for holiday charge.

All major credit cards accepted. Please call us to make a reservation. We require the first night’s stay in the form of a check or credit card to reserve your dates. Remaining balance is due 10 days before check-in. Rates are subject to change unless you are confirmed. We reserve the right to refuse reservations. 2 night minimum required for Spring/Summer rates, 3 night minimum required during Holidays. Please read our rental agreement contract before booking.

Pet Policy:

The Pecan House does accept pets (2 dogs maximum). The pets must be housebroken and kenneled if left unattended in the home. Pets are not allowed on the furniture. Failure to comply with these rules, or any “spots” or messes will be considered as damage and will be deducted from damage deposit.Pet Fee: $10 per day/ per dog(2 dogs maximum)
