The Sweet Mesquite lake house is a new, three bedroom, two bath, one-story home near the 2900 bridge in Kingsland, TX.  This home is located at the end of a historic road, where former President Lyndon B. Johnson’s lake home and secret service cottages were located! This is a great waterfront location – very close to the main body of Lake LBJ, but far enough from the constant boating traffic. You can boat, fish and swim right from the shore.

• The home’s green exterior, grassy lawn and surrounding trees are perfectly blended, providing a beautiful backdrop from the water’s edge.  This home is also very peaceful, both on the water and its surrounding neighborhood.

• All of the furnishings are beautiful, comfortable and new!  From the chenille oversize sofa and tightly woven, seagrass bar stools to the wrought iron master bed, great care has been taken to provide our renters with comfort and the feeling of luxury. 

• Enjoy the openness with the living room, kitchen and dining room together in one large space.  Enjoy the freshness of this new home with crisply painted walls and light-colored tile throughout.

Living Area: 

The living room is adjacent to the dining room and kitchen, and has a beautiful view of the water through its large picture windows and double glass doors leading out onto the patio.  This room comes equipped with a large chenille sofa, loveseat and sofa chair.  The media center is equipped with cable television and DVD/VCR.

Dining Area:

There is seating for 8 at this gorgeous dining table overlooking the water.  Four barstools are also at the nearby kitchen bar for additional seating.

Kitchen:

The kitchen has brand-new appliances, such as a double-door refrigerator with ice maker, porcelain top stove, microwave and dishwasher. All of your basics, such as dishes, glasses, silverware, blender and toaster are included.  Upgraded fixtures, views of the waterfront and lots of counter and cabinet space add to this beautiful kitchen.

Master Bedroom:

The Master Bedroom has a wrought iron, queen size bed, bedside tables with lamp, a spacious, mirrored dresser, wicker chair and ceiling fan.  There is a walk-in closet and the master bath is connected to the bedroom.

Second Bedroom:

Four adults can sleep in this bedroom with two identical, iron double beds. A bedside table, lamp, ceiling fan and walk-in closet are added features.

Third Bedroom:

This room is great for kids, with two twin beds - each with a twin trundle underneath - for total sleeping of four. Each bed has a bedside table and lamp. A built-in desk, ceiling fan and walk-in closet are also included.

Master Bathroom:

Attached to the master bedroom, this bathroom has upgraded fixtures, lots of cabinet space and a shower/tub combination with a space-saving shower curtain that adds roominess to the bath or shower.

Second Bathroom:

Located in the hallway (with the laundry room and three bedrooms), this bath also has upgraded fixtures, lots of cabinet space and a shower/tub combination with a space-saving shower curtain that adds roominess to the bath or shower.

Laundry/Utility Room:

Conveniently located in the hallway, this spacious laundry room comes equipped with a washer and dryer.

Outside:

Double-glass doors lead to the covered back porch, which spans the entire width of the house.  Enjoy lazy, warm summer days or nights outside shielded from the sun and heat (there are two large ceiling fans). A propane grill and patio table and chairs are also provided.

A large grassy lawn takes you down to the waterfront with boat dock/lift. You can boat, fish and swim right from the shore.

 Launch your boat conveniently from the private, property-owners launch right next door! 

The front yard has a newly laid concrete driveway and sidewalk leading to the front door on the side of the house.

 Location:

Sweet Mesquite is located in Kingsland, TX right off of the 2900 bridge. Local entertainment is only a few miles away – public golf courses (Packsaddle and Inks Lake State Park), tourist attractions such as the Longhorn Caverns, Sweet Berry Farm, Devil’s Water Hole at Inks Lake State Park and local wineries such as Lost Creek. The Kingsland Slab is also a great swimming hole that is just minutes away! Go back down the 2900 bridge towards Kingsland and turn left onto Hwy 1431. Turn left on on FM 3404. You’ll see it a couple of miles down.

Sweet Mesquite is only 60 minutes northwest of Austin, 90 minutes north of San Antonio, 3 hours south of Dallas/Ft. Worth and 3 ½ hours west of Houston.

Holidays & Holiday Weekend Rates(Thanksgiving, Christmas, New Years, Memorial Day, 4th of July and Labor Day) $50 more a night, maximum of 3 nights for holiday charge.

All major credit cards accepted. Please call us to make a reservation. We require the first night’s stay in the form of a check or credit card to reserve your dates. Remaining balance is due 10 days before check-in. Rates are subject to change unless you are confirmed. We reserve the right to refuse reservations. 2 night minimum required for Spring/Summer rates, 3 night minimum required during Holidays. Please read our rental agreement contract before booking.
